Perspectives on Global Health is an outreach initiative by McGill Global Health Programs.

Our mission is to:

  • Spotlight the McGill community’s interdisciplinary efforts in global health research, advocacy and other initiatives.

  • Connect our program with external individuals and organizations interested in global health and development, facilitating the creation of a virtual supportive network of university-based global health initiatives.

  • Share educational resources relevant to current global health news.

  • Facilitate and encourage discourse between the McGill Global Health Programs, the extended McGill community, and anyone else interested in our work.

We hope that after reviewing our posts, you are inspired to connect with us through our blog, and to become further involved in global health.

Equity and Inclusion Policy of McGill Global Health Perspectives

We are aware that global health is a field that has colonial roots and currently that there are many inequities resulting in underrepresentation of various groups including but not limited to low- and middle-income country researchers, sexual and gender minority groups, ethnic and racial minorities, and indigenous communities. As a team, we are always dedicated to welcoming and supporting underrepresented groups. We encourage you to write to us whether you are a professor, researcher, a student or simply a member from any underrepresented groups. Based on the relevance and quality of the article we will always try our best to publish your work.

Land Acknowledgment

McGill University is on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg nations. We acknowledge and thank the diverse Indigenous peoples whose presence marks this territory on which peoples of the world now gather.
