Confronting Medical Colonialism: A Talk by Dr. Samir Shaheen-Hussain
You’re invited to a talk by Dr. Samir Shaheen-Hussain on Confronting Medical Colonialism. This talk will explore the lasting impacts of colonialism on healthcare and the urgent need for decolonization, cultural safety, and systemic change. We’ll also highlight the importance of global and Indigenous health, examine how historical and ongoing injustices shape health outcomes worldwide, and explore the role of medical students in effecting positive change.
